Garrett Classics is proud to showcase this professionally built '69 Chevrolet Camaro. This car has had numerous mechanical updates/upgrades along with restored & updated cosmetics. This car is a proven road veteran and will drive anywhere in the USA with comfort and confidence. It handles and runs excellent. Our seller drove it over to us and was doing 75 at a comfortable 2300 rpms and the Camaro was just purring. The exterior displays a recent professional refinish in code #76 Daytona Yellow with black custom Foose-style stripes. Equipment includes front & rear spoilers along with electric hide-away headlamps. This is a very attractive Camaro. The paint was redone in the summer of 2016 and is in great shape, any imperfections are minor.
The tail light panel has been blacked-out and glossed. The exhaust system sounds excellent. Again, be sure to check out the special video of this Camaro in action. The original steering wheel has a couple of cracks. The interior is beautifully done, fitted with deluxe hounds tooth upholstery front to back. During the interior restoration, along with the seat covers, cushions and springs were also replaced. These are commonly overlooked during hasty, budget-minded restorations. The seats provide excellent support for long distance touring. The headliner was also redone.
The gauges include the optional factory tachometer (new) along with the OEM-type center console & gauge package. A 5-speed manual transmission was fitted in this Camaro, also professionally done. Under the hood, the LT1 fuel-injected V8 is in place. This powerplant was built by the performance Gurus at Street & Performance in Mena, Arkansas. A mild performance mill, this street-friendly power plant is paired with a Keisler Engineering 5-Speed manual transmission. The drive train has been balanced. This is a car that can cruise at 75mph all day long. There is also a temperature control with a thermostat that cools the engine after shutting it down.
Underhood updates include upgraded cooling system, Vintage brand air conditioning & more. The firewall, inner fenders and core support display excellent original sheetmetal throughout. The trim plate is in place and difficult to read. It is an X11 Norwood built Camaro. The undercarriage has also been attended to. This Camaro sports rebuilt suspension components front to back along with 4-wheel slotted disc brakes. Frame connectors help with traction and overall body rigidity. The gas tank is new along with it's rubber mounts.
