There has been an extensive amount of restoration work performed both mechanically and cosmetically to keep this car in top show & driving condition. This is your opportunity to own a stunning automobile and fast appreciating investment. You will not believe how good this Lincoln drives. The exterior presents show quality correct Venetian Yellow paint in a base/clear coat. The paint and body are in excellent condition as is the bright work throughout this '66 Continental.
All of this work was performed between 2006 to 2008. This is one of the nicest '66 Continentals
you will find. The body is extremely straight. This has been a garage kept example its entire life,
this is evident by the interior condition especially. Everything on the car is currently working except the power antenna.
This Lincoln has had a host of mechanical work performed. The 462 cubic inch V8 has received a comprehensive
rebuild including the following specifications ; New Pistons - New Camshaft - Crankshaft Ground 10/10 & Block Line Bored - Original Heads Machined with New Valves & Hardened Seats for Unleaded Fuel - Fully Balanced & Blueprinted Engine from Balancer to Flexplate - Gas Tank Removed, Vatted, & Sealed - Fresh Carburetor Rebuild - New Fuel Pump- Seals - Etc. The transmission was removed, disassembled, resealed and serviced. The radiator has been restored/remanufactured. The fan clutch was replaced along with belts and hoses. The brake power booster & master cylinder have been replaced as well. The fuel tank was removed, vatted and sealed & fuel sending unit replaced. There is host of additional work that has been done to this Lincoln to ensure top driving characteristics.
Keep in mind, these restorations were done over 8 years ago now. As you can see, it is still in very nice condition and continues to run very well.
Factory accessories include air conditioning, power steering, and power front disc brakes. The original breather and
valve covers are intact. Further inspection will confirm structurally integrity of the metal throughout the engine
compartment including the firewall, inner fenders and core support.
Open the doors to 1966. This Lincoln is great car to drive. The steering feels excellent and the car is just an
absolute pleasure to drive. Not only does this car's condition reflect its low mileage, the restoration work performed will ensure its condition for years to come. The front suspension was removed, powder-coated and rebuilt with new bushings and linkages.
This is a stunning car with a hint of patina in the interior. The seat upholstery is in very nice condition front to back, displaying original leather with some wear. The back seat has some cracking. The dash and instruments are in excellent condition. The instrumentation is functional down to the AM 8-Track Stereo. The door panels are in great shape and the door undersides are very nice, solid. The weatherstrip has been replaced throughout. The identification plate is in place on the door jamb as well as a personalized plate for Mr. G.P "Pat" O'Brien. This car was ordered to a St. Louis Missouri DSO code in Venetian Yellow with Black Leather Interior, a Dual Range C6 Automatic Transmission, and 2.80:1 highway friendly gearing. The power convertible top assembly functions correctly and is in excellent condition. These Slab Side Lincolns are a favorite of ours and many others.
This is one of the finest we have been fortune to work with here at Texas Classic Cars of Dallas. The factory steel wheels & caps were fitted with 285/75 whitewall radials all around. There is also
a mounted spare tire/wheel in the trunk.
The undercarriage is in very nice condition. The original flooring and framework are intact front to back. The front
suspension was completely disassembled, powder-coated & new bushings installed throughout. The shocks have been replaced. The exhaust system has been replaced front to back (stainless steel). The spring mount points are solid as are the rocker panels, quarter panels, inner fenders, etc from our inspection. There is quite a bit of original red oxide
evident as well as some very minor surface rust. A professional third-party inspection is always welcomed and
encouraged to see that a vehicle meets individual purchase criteria.
