Garrett Classics is proud to showcase this 39,239 mile 3-owner original 1979 Cadillac Seville Elegante. The special edition Elegante came is this striking two-tone paint combination of Slate Firemist & Sable Black with a red accent strip & polished side moldings. This example displays most of its original paint with exception of a few touch-ups. It is a very nice example both cosmetically and mechanically. We have factory brochures & past registrations dating well into the 80s.

The original paint is in fair condition throughout. The hood has been repainted and there has been some color sanding in areas.   The special edition Elegante was an additional $2735. Purchased in December of 1978 by a gentleman in Colorado, for his wife, the car remained in the Denver area and was driven only occasionally. When the owner became unable to drive anymore, the service manager at the dealership who had serviced the car fore all of it's life, purchased it. Now the current owner has it here in Texas and has almost all of the registrations showing it's history.

The original Sierra Grain leather is intact front to back. This has been a garage-kept vehicle and it shows. The instruments are functional along with the 8-track AM/FM stereo & power antenna. The air conditioning was just recently converted to 134A and a brand new compressor was installed as well.

Plush Tangier carpeting was standard in the Elegante.

Under the hood is the original 350 fuel-injected V8 engine. With new electronic fuel injection technology, horsepower was at 170 now. This 5.7 liter powerplant runs smooth and is paired with the factory TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine compartment displays its original components throughout, its clean survivor condition is indicative of the low 39,239 miles.   The door undersides are clean and solid as is the underbody.

The trunk is clean and detailed, complete with original spare inflatable tire/wheel, jacking equipment and mat. The current owner used these for car shows, and has a spare wire wheel for road trips.
