This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Two Door Sedan was treated to an extensive nut & bolt restoration approximately 5 years ago. The drive train consists of a crate 327 4bbl. V8 paired with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. The paint & body are in exceptionally nice shape, finished in a custom yellow & white. The interior is finished in yellow as well. This car is a pleasure to drive and can be taken to a show with confidence. Be sure to play the special video road test & tour. This engine combination has less than 1500 miles logged. The engine firewall, inner fenders, and core support metal is in great shape. An Edelbrock aluminum intake is paired with a Holley 4bbl. carburetor. Exhaust gases are expelled through dual cast iron manifolds & custom pipes.
The original trim identification plate is in place.
The interior showcases custom yellow & white upholstery. The dash and bright work are in beautiful shape. An Impala steering wheel has been tastefully fitted along with the classic factory instrumentation, clock, and AM push button radio. The headliner, door panels, carpeting, and seals are all in great shape. This car was completely gutted and restored.
Note the alignment of the doors. The paint and body is in very good condition, not perfect, but exceptionally nice. Keystone Mag Wheels are fitted with 215/65R15 B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A tires all around. The undercarriage further displays the restored condition of this '55 Chevy. The front suspension has been rebuilt and much work done. The frame and flooring appears to be in very good condition throughout.
This is a quality done '55 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe with plenty of power & highway readiness. This car will do well at any show and is a pleasure to drive. The Muncie 4-Speed manual transmission shifts through the gears with ease and the 327 engine pulls strong. There is no spare tire or jack.
