Garrett Classics is proud to showcase this beautifully done 1968 Chevy Camaro Coupe. This car has the feel of the late 1960s and 70s, with a strong dose of today's performance. Underneath the signature smooth '68 Camaro body lines lurks a GM Performance Parts 427 Aluminum Head crate engine. This package was put together in a nod to the original high performance L-88 427 engine option. This car has undergone a complete restoration  and today is on display and for sale at Garrett Classics.  The paint and body show well throughout. This car was completely dismantled, media-blasted and etch-primed prior to the body work. All panels in need of were replacement , were. The floor pan was a one-piece replacement. You can see the extent of the restoration in a few of our photos. After the restoration, the current owner improved the car even further.

We have an extensive binder with restoration photos, restoration details, and receipts for various maintenance and parts.  Today, this is a beautiful Camaro ready to enjoy. Note the quality paint, body panel fit, etc. The black SS stripes are paired with the signature rear spoiler and stamped-steel cowl induction hood. The grilles, bumpers, seals, etc has been replaced.   The custom dual exhaust system is paired with ceramic-coated long tube headers for high exhaust flow.

Open the doors to 1968. The interior has been completely restored as well. The carpeting was replaced along with the headliner, seat covers front to rear, dash pad, dash cluster, wiring, etc. Note the beautiful wood grain wheel and tilt steering column.  The factory type deluxe interior was installed during the restoration and is just beautiful. The correct center console features a padded arm rest and cup holders for your long distance Hot Rod power tour or trips to the drive-in.  Deluxe seat belts are in place front and back.  The tilt steering column is paired with a Sun Super II Tachometer. There is a chromed bezel with a trio of gauges to monitor water temp, oil pressure and voltage.

The front end was completely replaced along with the brightwork, headlamps, grille assemblies and bumpers.  Under the hood is the GM Performance Parts 427 ZZ crate engine, put together by Jegs. This powerful L88 inspired power plant was fitted with a serpentine belt system. Amenities include power steering, power front disc brakes and air conditioning. The firewall, inner fenders, and core support sheet metal shows excellent.

Underneath you can further see the extensive work performed. The floor pan was replaced with a one-piece unit. The front and rear suspension was completely rebuilt. The stout 12-bolt is paired with multi-leaf springs. A new gas tank and sending unit was installed. The inner rear panels were replaced along with the quarter panels, frame rails, trunk, and lower firewall. The door undersides are excellent. The doors were replaced left and right. The glass is excellent and all rubber seals were replaced.

These classic 15-inch Weld wheels really give this Camaro a yesterday look. The tires are traditional B.F. Goodrich radial T/As front to back. The rears are beefy 235/60R15s while the fronts are 205/60R15s.
