Garrett Classics is proud to showcase this long time 1-owner 1997 Pontiac Trans Am Comp TA edition. This is a heavily documented example, sold new at David Mc David Pontiac here in Texas. We have the original window sticker and SLP letter detailing the COMP TA package and the additional features opted for on this particular Trans Am. These special edition cars were only offered during 1995, 1996, and the 1997 model year Trans Am. The Comp TA commemorates the B.F. Goodrich Comp T/A performance tire.

This is one of the finest Comp T/A Trans Am's available anywhere. In addition to the standard Comp TA SLP options, this car was ordered with $7,499.00 in extras. There were only 25 of the Comp TA cars produced in 1997 with the 6-speed manual transmission & glass T-top panels.  There is specific Comp T/A badging along either fender along with a unique single center stripe in gray. The original key fob and Comp T/A exclusive keychains are also included. 

I want to mention that this is a very tight car that drives excellent without the typical rattles and creaks of these 4th generation Trans Ams. This car has been garage-kept and cared for from day 1, never raced or abused. There are no aftermarket modifications on this car other than the SLP specified features.

The interior is excellent, displaying the original pewter leather interior in exceptional condition front to back. The driver's bolster shows very minimum wear, obvious much care was taken to protect this car from day 1.  The dash and instruments are fully functional as is the original radio.  We have a binder full of information about this car along with the original window sticker and SLP letter specifying the option list.  Under the hood is the factory LT-1 Ram Air 350 Fuel-Injected V8. This powerplant has received regular oil changes and runs like new. The HURST backed 6-speed manual transmission shifts through the gears as it should. The engine compartment is original and detailed throughout. 

The underbody is also in excellent condition front to back, displaying clean and detailed components. This car has not been driven in inclement weather and it shows. This is a dry climate car with no rust.
