As most of you know, the Prowler was going to be Mopar's answer to a retro 32 Ford roadster street rod. They came close with the look, especially if you did the bumper delete like this one. It gives it a real hot rod look. The Prowler actually debuted in 1997 but only came in 1 color, purple. It also had a lower horsepower engine. In 1998 they upped the horsepower to 253.
The car came equipped with power disc brakes all around, and of course power steering and a/c along with the auto shift option and a hidden multi CD player under the seat. It has a really nice set of factory duel exhausts which give the car a really great sound. Some people say it's even a bit loud. Myself, being a hot rod person, I love the sound.
The car sits on 295/40ZR 20 tires on the rear and 225/40R17 on the front.
The engine is a 6 cylinder 3.5 liter paired with a 4 speed automatic transmission with OD. This doesn't sound like much, but it puts out 253 hp which isn't bad for this light car.
The only flaw I saw was some scratches under the nose which is due to the car being so low to the ground. I have a photo in the ad. Other than that, the car is like new.
This very nice low mileage Prowler is located in Argyle, Texas. The total miles on the car are only 10,234. The undercarriage is extremely clean and shows how the car has been a fair weather car. The current owner has had it since 2018 and has had it in his collection. It's been well taken care of.
